Chapter 15 - Dawn Over the Eastern Territory: A New Era for the Marchetti Empire

The first pale streaks of dawn broke over the rain-washed city skyline, casting a golden glow across the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Riverside Penthouse.

The storm had passed, leaving the streets below crisp, clean, and silent.

Inside the master suite, Delphine lay sleeping peacefully, her head resting securely on Sloan’s shoulder, her breathing deep and regular.

Sloan sat awake against the headboard, his dark eyes staring out toward the horizon.

The digital clock on the bedside table read 6:00 AM.

His encrypted phone buzzed quietly against the nightstand.

Sloan reached out with his left hand, careful not to wake Delphine, and swiped the screen.

It was a text message from Bishop:

“All shipping ports secured. Regional captains have sworn fealty. The council recognizes no opposition. The city is yours, boss.”

Sloan deleted the message with a single tap.

He turned his head slowly, looking down at the woman sleeping beside him and the gentle curve of her stomach resting beneath the silk sheets.

The empire was his.

The traitors were gone.

And for the first time in his ruthless, bloody life, Sloan Marchetti realized that true power wasn't measured by how many enemies you could destroy—it was measured by the people you fought to keep safe when the world tried to tear them away.

He pressed a soft, lingering kiss to Delphine’s forehead, pulled the blankets higher around her shoulders, and closed his eyes to welcome the dawn of a brand-new world.
