Chapter 15 - The Dynasty of the Caruso Empire

Three weeks later, the sprawling gardens of the Westchester estate were transformed into a scene straight out of a Renaissance painting.

White orchids and black roses lined the grand marble pavilion where a small, intensely private ceremony was taking place under the autumn sun.

There were no politicians, no rival syndicate bosses, and no reporters.

Only Damian’s most trusted inner circle, Luca, Dr. Finch, and a handful of loyal guards stood around the perimeter as witnesses.

I stood at the altar in a custom-tailored ivory gown that cascaded gracefully down to the stone steps, my green eyes fixed on the man standing before me.

Damian wore a classic black tuxedo, his broad shoulders filling the bespoke fabric with effortless authority, his dark hair neatly slicked back.

And standing right between us, holding a small basket of black and white rose petals with solemn concentration, was Leah.

She looked healthy, vibrant, and whole, wearing a miniature ivory dress that matched mine, her dark curls bouncing with every step she took.

The trial—if you could call it that—had ended swiftly.

Donato Moretti’s empire had crumbled within forty-eight hours of Vance’s delivery, his shipping ports seized, his safehouses raided, and the old man himself forced into permanent, powerless exile across the ocean.

The Moretti syndicate no longer existed.

The Caruso name was absolute, unchallenged, and untouchable.

"Do you, Damian Caruso, take Clara Monroe to be your lawfully wedded wife?" the magistrate asked, his voice steady in the crisp autumn air.

Damian never broke eye contact with me.

His dark eyes burned with an intensity that told a story of loss, survival, vengeance, and a love forged in the fires of hell.

"I do," Damian said, his voice deep, resonant, and absolute.

"And do you, Clara Monroe, take Damian Caruso to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

I looked down at Leah, then back up at the terrifying, magnificent man who had torn the world apart to bring us back together.

"I do," I whispered, the words carrying the weight of an unbreakable vow.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Damian didn't hesitate.

He pulled me into his arms, his lips crashing down onto mine in a passionate, fiercely possessive kiss that sealed our fates forever.

From down by our feet, a small, cheerful voice broke the solemn silence of the ceremony.

"Yay! Mama! Papa!"

Everyone broke out into laughter as Leah tossed her entire basket of rose petals straight up into the air, showering us both in a cascade of white and black blossoms.

Damian pulled back, a rare, genuine smile touching the corners of his lips as he scooped Leah up with one arm and kept his other arm securely wrapped around my waist.

We turned together to face our empire, our family, and our future—no longer broken ghosts of the past, but the undisputed rulers of a new dynasty.
