Chapter 13 - The Rebirth of Vance Global

Winter arrived, blanketing the upstate hills in pure white snow.
In Manhattan, the trial of Helena Vance never took place.
Facing overwhelming digital, physical, and toxicological evidence, she pleaded guilty.
She was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
The stolen thirty million dollars was recovered from the frozen Caribbean accounts.
Ricardo, acting as Bia's legal guardian and trustee, stepped into the Vance corporate boardroom.
The room of wealthy executives sat nervous and silent.
Ricardo didn't wear a three-piece suit; he wore a simple dark blazer.
Beside him sat Arthur Pendelton with Clara’s original notes and plans.
"Gentlemen," Ricardo said, leaning both hands on the mahogany conference table.
"My sister had a vision for this company before she was taken from us."
"She believed that real wealth is built by empowering workers, not squeezing them dry."
"We are converting forty percent of corporate shares into an employee equity pool."
Several old directors shifted uncomfortably, but nobody dared raise an objection.
Ricardo held the majority voting power as Bia’s legal proxy.
"Clara's legacy will not be defined by a poisoner's greed," Ricardo declared.
"It will be defined by justice, fairness, and the community she loved."
Outside the boardroom windows, the Vance logo on the skyscraper shone bright against the winter dusk.

And Clara's final wishes were becoming reality, law by law, policy by policy.
