Chapter 7 - The Final Verdict of a Billionaire Heir

Callie stopped in her tracks. The two security guards immediately stepped forward, positioning themselves like a granite wall between Andrew and their employer, their hands resting flat against their suit jackets.

Callie raised a single, slender hand, signaling her guards to stand down. She turned her head slowly, looking at Andrew not with fury, but with a profound, piercing pity that stung worse than any slap across the face.

She looked him up and down—at the slight tremor in his hands, the exhausted shadows beneath his eyes, and the desperate, pathetic longing written across his face.

"You love me?" Callie repeated, her voice carrying a quiet, melodic amusement that cut through the surrounding murmurs of the curious onlookers. "No, Andrew. You don't love me. You love the fact that I am no longer convenient to ignore. You love the power, the status, and the validation that my name carries."

"No, Callie, I swear to God," Andrew stammered, ignoring the stares of the surrounding elites who whispered behind crystal flutes. "I was blinded by the past. I didn't see what was right in front of me. Give me another chance. I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you. We can start over—"

"Stop," Callie said, her voice dropping into a register so cold and authoritative that Andrew instantly choked on his words.

She stepped closer, leaning in just enough so that only he could hear her words.

"For three years, I gave you my loyalty, my patience, and my heart," Callie whispered, her sapphire eyes locked onto his with diamond-hard clarity. "And in return, you treated me like a piece of furniture—a convenient accessory to display at your galas, and a spare organ to harvest when your precious past came back to manipulate you. You didn't just break our marriage, Andrew. You shattered every illusion I ever had about who you were."

Andrew shook his head frantically, a tear finally breaking free and tracking down his flushed cheek. "I was wrong... I'll destroy Kerri, I'll cut ties with everyone—"

"Kerri is your problem now, not mine," Callie interrupted smoothly. "And your empire? Look around you, Andrew. You're already bankrupt, not just in your bank accounts, but in your character. Jon Enterprises bought your primary commercial mortgages this morning. By tomorrow afternoon, your firm will be liquidated, and your name will be nothing more than a footnote in Manhattan real estate history."

Andrew staggered back as if struck by a physical blow, his knees trembling beneath him. "You... you orchestrated the acquisition?"

"I didn't have to," Callie replied calmly, straightening her lapels with effortless grace. "You did it all by yourself, fueled by your own arrogance and cruelty. You thought you could demand my body, my dignity, and my soul. But you forgot one fundamental truth, Andrew..."

She paused, offering him a faint, enigmatic smile that was entirely devoid of warmth.

Without another word, Callie turned her back on him, walking gracefully down the aisle toward the grand exit, her crimson and navy silhouette vanishing into the bright lights of the lobby, leaving Andrew drowning in the ruins of his own making.
