Chapter 6 - The House of Cards Collapses

The next morning, heavily armed officers descended on the school. Students watched in shock as Principal Harrison was led out in handcuffs. He wept as he was pushed into the back of a police cruiser. His career was over, and his son was arrested at his college dorm two hours later. But the most satisfying arrest was yet to come.
Arthur was sitting in a high-end restaurant, eating a steak. He thought he was untouchable. He thought his money and his secrets would always protect him. He was wrong.

Detective Jennings walked right up to his table. "Arthur Sterling, you are under arrest," her voice echoed through the quiet restaurant. "For child abuse, extortion, destruction of evidence, and conspiracy." Arthur tried to maintain his arrogant smirk. "You have no idea who you're messing with," he hissed.
"I know exactly who you are," Jennings replied, snapping the cuffs on his wrists. "You're a coward who beats children and hides behind blackmail. And your safe is already in our evidence room." The color completely drained from Arthur's face. His empire of lies crumbled in a matter of seconds. As they walked him out, the entire restaurant watched in dead silence. The local news cameras were waiting outside. The untouchable man was finally exposed to the world, and justice was swift and merciless.
