Chapter 11 - The Corporate Bloodbath: Purging The Boardroom

The grand boardroom of Bellandi Global Shipping was a fortress of polished mahogany, smoked glass, and chilling corporate silence.
Vincent strode through the double doors at precisely nine o’clock, his bespoke charcoal suit cutting through the heavy tension like a razor blade.
Seated around the massive conference table were the remaining executive board members, men and women who had spent years nodding politely to Julian and Serena while quietly pocketing blood money.
Not a single person dared to look Vincent in the eye as he took his seat at the absolute head of the table, his posture rigid and his expression carved from granite.
Commander Vance stood silently by the floor-to-ceiling windows, his arms crossed over his chest, projecting an aura of inescapable military authority.
“I called this emergency session not to negotiate, but to read the last rites for the criminal faction that has infected this company for over a decade,” Vincent stated, his voice ringing coldly through the room.
Mr. Henderson, the senior vice president of international operations and a longtime loyalist to Julian’s shadow regime, tried to clear his throat and salvage some control.
“Now see here, Vincent—Mr. Bellandi,” Henderson corrected quickly under Vincent’s piercing gaze. “We are the elected board of directors. You cannot simply execute a purge without a formal shareholder vote.”
Vincent didn’t blink; instead, he slid a thick folder across the mahogany table directly toward Henderson’s trembling hands.
“Open it, Henderson,” Vincent commanded quietly.
Henderson slowly opened the folder, his eyes scanning the first page before all the color instantly vanished from his weathered face.
It was a comprehensive, federal-level indictment detailing every single bribe, offshore shell company, and illicit cargo manifest Henderson had signed off on over the past five years.
“This… this is fabricated! You have no legal jurisdiction to—,” Henderson stammered, slamming the folder shut as sweat beaded heavily across his forehead.
“Federal prosecutors and the SEC already have verified copies of every document in that folder, along with the encrypted hard drives we seized from Julian’s cliffside villa,” Vance interrupted, stepping forward from the window.
“You have exactly ten seconds to sign your resignation letters, hand over your corporate shares at market-zero valuation, and walk out those doors,” Vincent said, leaning forward over the table.
“If you refuse, I will personally ensure federal marshals drag every single one of you out in handcuffs before the trading bell rings on Wall Street.”
Panic erupted around the boardroom as directors scrambled for pens, realizing too late that the Bellandi empire had a new, merciless ruler who could not be bought, bribed, or intimidated.
Within three minutes, every single resignation letter was signed, sealed, and slid back across the table toward Vincent.
“Get out of my sight,” Vincent dismissed them with a flick of his wrist, watching in silence as the cowards scurried from the room like rats abandoning a sinking ship.
When the heavy boardroom doors clicked shut behind the last corrupt executive, Vincent sat back in his leather chair and let out a long, slow breath.
The corporate cancer had finally been excised, leaving the Bellandi shipping empire bruised, bleeding, but entirely under his rightful control once more.
He pulled his phone from his pocket, dialing a direct, private number to check in on the most important person in his life.
“Mrs. Higgins? How is Emma doing?” Vincent asked softly, the cold corporate warlord instantly melting away into a devoted, loving father.

“She’s drawing pictures in the nursery, Mr. Bellandi, completely safe and happy,” the nanny’s warm voice replied through the receiver.
“Tell her I’ll be home for dinner tonight, and nothing in this world is ever going to keep us apart again,” Vincent smiled, looking out over the city skyline as a new era officially began.
