Chapter 14 - A Healing Heart and a Brother's Recovery

The sterile scent of Northwestern Memorial Hospital felt strangely comforting to Sienna as she sat beside her brother's hospital bed.
Sunlight poured streaming through the large glass windows, illuminating the cheerful green plants that filled the private recovery suite.
Leo sat propped up against several fluffy pillows, color returning to his cheeks as he smiled warmly at his older sister.
"The doctor just came by, Sienna," Leo said, his voice stronger and clearer than it had been in months.
"He said the surgery was an absolute success, and my physical therapy timeline has been cut in half thanks to the new specialists."
Tears of pure, unadulterated joy spilled over Sienna’s eyelashes as she reached out to hug her younger brother tightly.
"I still can't believe it's real, Leo," Sienna whispered, burying her face softly against his shoulder. "We are finally safe."
At that exact moment, the soft click of the door opening drew their attention toward the entryway.
Lorenzo Bianchi stood in the doorway, dressed in his immaculate Tom Ford suit, holding a small bouquet of white lilies in his hand.
Matthew Rossi lingered discreetly in the hallway outside, ensuring total privacy for the unexpected visitor.
Sienna stood up quickly from her chair, her heart skipping a beat as she looked into Lorenzo's striking pale hazel eyes.
"Mr. Bianchi... you didn't have to come here in person," Sienna said softly, her voice carrying a mix of deep gratitude and nervous affection.
"I wanted to see for myself that your brother was recovering," Lorenzo replied smoothly, stepping into the room and placing the lilies gently on the bedside table.
"You saved our lives, Lorenzo," Leo said sincerely, looking up at the powerful mafia boss with genuine appreciation. "Thank you for everything."
Lorenzo looked between the two siblings, a soft, genuine warmth touching his features that completely transformed his formerly stone-cold face.
"You both belong to a safe world now," Lorenzo stated quietly, his eyes lingering on Sienna with a profound, undeniable tenderness.
