Chapter 15 - The Symphony of Scars

One week later, the Velvet Note was illuminated by a warm, golden amber glow that radiated luxury and celebration from every corner.

Every single table was filled with Chicago's most prominent figures, all of whom had gathered to witness the city's most talked-about musical residency.

Down in his usual elevated VIP booth, Lorenzo Bianchi sat comfortably, his crystal glass of Macallan 25 resting untouched on the mahogany table.

There was no tension in his shoulders, no chilling glare in his pale hazel eyes, and no shadow of grief lingering on his handsome face.

Matthew Rossi stood nearby with a subtle grin, watching as the club manager Phillip Hastings nervously cued the band leader.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Phillip announced into the microphone with beaming pride, his voice echoing smoothly across the packed supper club.

"Tonight, the Velvet Note is honored to present our resident star, the heart and soul of our family... Sienna Holloway."

The room erupted into thunderous applause, the wealthy patrons cheering enthusiastically as the side velvet curtain parted wide.

Sienna stepped out onto the stage wearing a breathtaking emerald-green silk gown that caught the stage lights with every graceful movement.

Her dark hair flowed freely in soft waves around her shoulders, her face radiating a stunning, confident beauty that left the audience breathless.

She approached the vintage microphone, her dark eyes locking immediately with Lorenzo’s warm, unwavering gaze across the room.

The pianist struck the opening chords of a joyful, uplifting jazz standard that spoke of new beginnings and mornings after a long, dark night.

When Sienna opened her mouth to sing, her rich, soulful voice soared effortlessly through the acoustic room, filling every heart with pure magic.

In booth one, Lorenzo Bianchi looked up at the woman who had brought him back from the dead, his lips curving upward into a wide, radiant, unmistakable smile.

It was the first full, genuine smile he had given the world in one thousand and ninety-six days, breaking the final bond of his frozen past.

The symphony of his scars was finally complete, replaced by a melody of hope, love, and a future built to last an eternity.
