Chapter 11 - The Exposure
The image of the happy couple vanished from the screen.
Instead, a stark, high-definition video began to play.
It was the nanny cam footage from the drawing room.
The audio blared through the massive speakers, clear as day.
“I don't care what you have to do. Just keep the real Victoria Vance quiet until I get the ring on my finger.”
A collective gasp echoed through the ballroom.
Two hundred guests stared in absolute shock.
Roxanne's face drained of all color. She looked like she had seen a ghost.
“Once I'm married, I'll send her to an institution if I have to.”
The video continued, showing her glaring into the baby's crib.
“And this little brat won't be a problem much longer either.”
"Turn it off!" Roxanne screamed, lunging for the microphone.
Ethan stepped neatly out of her way.
"Is there a problem, Roxanne?" Ethan asked into the mic.
The use of her real name struck her like a physical blow.
She stumbled backward, staring at Ethan in horror.
"I... I don't know what that is!" Roxanne stammered, looking at the whispering crowd. "It's a deepfake! A forgery!"
"It's real," a new voice called out.
The crowd parted as Mr. Henderson, the lawyer, walked forward.
He was accompanied by two uniformed police officers.
"Roxanne Miller," the lead officer said, stepping up to the stage.
"You are under arrest for identity theft, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit extortion."
Roxanne looked wildly around the room for an escape route.
Guests were actively backing away from her, pulling out their phones to record the scandal.
"Ethan, please!" Roxanne begged, dropping the fake accent completely. "I love you!"
"You love my bank accounts," Ethan corrected coldly. "And you threatened my son."
The officers grabbed her arms, pulling them behind her back.
"This isn't over!" she shrieked as the handcuffs clicked into place.

As they dragged her out of the ballroom, she locked eyes with Sarah.
Sarah simply smiled, touching the sapphire necklace at her throat.
