Chapter 15 - The Real Family

The wedding was small, private, and utterly perfect.
They didn't hold it in a grand ballroom or invite hundreds of strangers.
It was held right in the estate gardens, under an arch of white roses.
Only close friends and loyal staff were in attendance.
Mr. Henderson, the lawyer, even cracked a rare smile as he watched the ceremony.
Sarah wore a simple, elegant white gown, her hair pinned up, natural and radiant.
Ethan couldn't take his eyes off her.
As they exchanged their vows, Leo babbled happily from his stroller in the front row.
"I promise to protect this family," Ethan vowed, sliding the wedding band onto her finger.
"I promise to love you both, always," Sarah whispered back.
The officiant pronounced them husband and wife, and the small crowd cheered.
As they walked back down the grassy aisle together, Sarah felt a profound sense of peace.
She had started in this house polishing silverware, silently watching a family from the sidelines.
Now, she was the heart of it.
The nightmare with Roxanne felt like a distant, fading memory.
They had faced the darkness, uncovered the truth, and built something unbreakable in its place.
Ethan squeezed her hand, pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Ready for our new life, Mrs. Sterling?" Ethan asked playfully.

Sarah looked down at little Leo, then up at her husband.
"I've never been more ready," she smiled.
