Chapter 13 - The Arrest

Two NYPD detectives stepped in front of Harrison.
“Harrison Mercer?” the taller detective asked.
“Get out of my way,” Harrison growled.
“We have a warrant for your arrest,” the detective said, pulling out handcuffs.
“Charges include corporate fraud, embezzlement, and forgery.”
Harrison fought wildly as they pinned his arms behind his back.
“You can't do this! I am Harrison Mercer!”
“You have the right to remain silent,” the detective recited calmly.
As they dragged him toward the elevators, Sienna Blake stepped out of the adjacent car.
She was carrying two large suitcases.
She took one look at Harrison in handcuffs and froze.
“Sienna!” Harrison yelled. “Call my lawyer!”
A third detective stepped up to Sienna.
“Sienna Blake? We have a warrant for your arrest as an accomplice to wire fraud.”
Sienna dropped her Prada bag.
“I didn't know anything! He lied to me!” she screamed, backing away.
It was too late.
Handcuffs clicked around her wrists as well.
Eleanor stood in the doorway of the boardroom, watching them both get dragged into the elevator.

Justice was swift, brutal, and entirely deserved.
She pulled out her phone and dialed the hospital.
